WATCH: Moises Henriques Massive Sixer against Sydney Thunders in Super Over at SCG


The 14th match of the ongoing Big Bash League has become by far the best thrilling match of the season has the match ended up in a tie and a super over is played to decide the winner, with twists again coming in the Super Over.

After winning the toss, Sydney Thunders have won the toss and decided to bat first and they’ve scored 149 runs posted a target of 150 runs for the opposition in the given 20 overs.

Sixers who came to chase the target has got a huge blow at the beginning itself as they’ve lost their opener, Hayden Kerr, in the first over itself and started struggling but the excellent performance from the Moises Henriques(41 of 30 balls) and Tom Curran(35 of 17 balls) has saved the team from collapse and they’ve ended up tieing the match.

To decide the winner Super Over is played and Henriques and Tom Curran came to bat for the sixers and Chris Morris was given the chance to bowl the super over. Sixers lost the wicket on the first ball has Curran went to Pavillion, but Captain Henriques scored 14 runs which included a six and four that have helped Sixers to put a 17 run target for thunders.

On the fifth delivery of the Super over, Henriques has hit the sixer with the bottom of his bat through the third-man region which made the crowd go ballistic, it will remain as one of the best shots played in the decade ending. Watch that video below.

as far as the match is concerned, sixers ended up winning with one run and it is worth mentioning Alex Hales has made 11 runs of 3 balls in the super over but that didn’t help Thunders to secure the victory.
