Kolkata court issues arrest warrant against Cricketer Mohammed Shami in Domestic Violence Case


The Alipore Court of Kolkata has issued an arrest warrant against Indian Cricketer Mohammed Shami. In early 2018, Mohammed Shami had been accused of domestic violence by his wife Hasin Jahan

Now Shami and his brother have 15 days time to surrender and apply for bail. Currently, Shami is in the ongoing International Test Cricket Series against West Indies in Kingston, Jamaica.

Shami’s wife Hasin Jahan had accused him of domestic violence under IPC Section 498A in early 2018. The couple seemed to have several differences between them. Several developments had seen their fall-out become a public event.

Speaking to an IANS reporter a BCCI Functionary said that it was too early to take any decision against Mohammed Shami and any call against Shami can be only taken once after the charge sheet is received.

Mohammed Shami has played a great role for Indian Cricket in ICC 2019 Cricket World Cup. He has played 70 matches for Indian Cricket Team in ODI and has taken 131 wickets with an economy rate of 5.47.
