It’s been controversial from the last series for allowing opening slot for KL Rahul in test matches and for the ongoing Test series against South Africa, finally, Rohit Sharma is selected for the opening following the continuous poor performance Indian Star Cricketer KL Rahul.

In the first Test of ongoing South Africa’s tour of India at Visakhapatnam, Rohit Sharma scored his maiden Test century as an opening batsman after sending him to bat at the top of the order for the first time ever and followed by another century in the second innings.

This match proved his potential as an opener in Test Cricket, Rohit Sharma also smashed the record of most sixes in a match by hitting 13 sixes in both the innings combined. In the first innings of the test, Rohit Sharma scored 176 of 244 balls, which also included 23 fours and 6 sixes and in the second innings, Rohit scored 127 of 149 balls, which included 10 fours and 7 sixes.

In response to his innings, all the praises from fans, journalists and cricketers joined the bandwagon to praise Sharma for his Fantastic knocks and that list also includes England Women opener, Danielle Wyatt.

The English cricketer who had in the past taken to social media to express his admiration for Virat Kohli after the Indian captain’s unbeaten half-century to oust South Africa in 2014, took to Instagram this time where she shared Rohit’s press-conference picture and captioned it as: “ROHITTT……..what a player!!”
