BCCI President Sourav Ganguly most likely to say goodbye for selection committee led by MSK Prasad

Back in 1990’s India was running through the fixing scandals and Sourav Ganguly has taken the responsibility of the team and led it in the right way and built the behemoth Cricket team which went on to win 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup after his retirement.

Now, Indian Cricket has been taken in the hands of Ganguly has he becomes new president of BCCI and everyone is excited to watch what kind of changes he is going to bring and change Indian Cricket.

MSK Prasad, chief selector of Indian team has been controversial with his desicons from the start itself and MSK Prasad recently said in a conference that MS Dhoni will not be a blind selection into team India.

Ganguly on the other end recently said in the conference after electing as the president of BCCI when asked about Dhoni “It depends on him. I have always said when I was left out and the entire world said ‘I will never make it.’ I came back and played for 4 years. Champions don’t finish very quickly. I don’t know what’s in his mind or what he thinks about his career. But we will deal with that. he is one of the greats of the game. India is very proud of MS Dhoni. Over the period of time, his achievements.. when you sit down and take note of what he is done… you say ‘wow’. Till I am around, everybody will be respected. That doesn’t change,”

So, Both President and Selectors have different opinions, Some reports say Ganguly is not likely on going with current selection committee, Current selection committee tenure has ended after 4 years after they have selected the squad for Bangladesh series.

But according to new constitution the tenure is 5 years, but that doesn’t mean Ganguly can turn this committee of. BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has the right to select the selection committee.

However, it is going to be interesting to watch what are the changes Dada is going to make for Indian Cricket.
